A return to the limelight in October for TFC and the Raptors

The Toronto FC have managed to return to post season playoff activity for this year’s run after a disastrous year last season. Even though the year has not been consistent and at times questionable, a playoff possibility seemed if they were going to have any chance of making and claiming the last spot in the eastern conference. They managed to hold on in 4th place and clinch a playoff spot on September 21st tying 1-1 with LAFC and 2 games remaining in the regular season. The playoffs begin on October 19th.

Across the Gardiner at Scotia bank Arena the Raptors begin their run to defend their championship on October 22nd against the New Orleans Pelicans with a few pre-season games scheduled for October 8-10-13 and 18th. It has been widely argued and

debated that most likely the Raptors will not repeat their championship run but no doubt they have a young talented lineup with Pascal Siakam, OG Anunoby, VanVleet and veterans like Gasol, Lowry and Ibaka heading back to the court to try and prove that they are a contending team not to be taken lightly.
